Derek Murphy has started dozens of publishing related businesses to help indie authors succeed. In another life, he was a national representative of Amnesty International; studied classical oil painting in Florence; was a philosophy major on the island of Malta; and a treasure hunter in the Yucatan. He's currently in Taiwan, finishing a PhD in comparative literature. In 2015 he'll be in Europe castle-shopping, with plans to make the world's best Writer Retreat.
